In response to former President Donald Trump’s town hall event with CNN on Wednesday evening, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed that the liberal outlet was “manipulated” into “platforming election disinformation” in their hosting of the leading Republican 20204 presidential candidate.

“CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez began on Twitter.

“They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim,” she added.

During the conversation, Trump said in response to an audience member’s question that he would stop talking about election fraud on the campaign trail “unless I see election fraud.”

“If I see election fraud, I think I have an obligation to say it,” he added.

Trump also stated that he had informed his supporters on January 5, 2021, the day before the Capitol riot, that they should remain peaceful and support Capitol police and law enforcement.
