On Monday, Rep. Jim Jordan announced that he has reached out to the Department of Justice to have Special Counsel John Durham testify before Congress next week.
The House Judiciary Chairman’s tweet comes as Durham’s final report into the Trump-Russia investigation undertaken by the Department of Justice and FBI into whether the Trump campaign had coordinated with Russia to influence the 2016 election was released on Monday.
The over 300-page report found that the DOJ and FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law” in their launching of the investigation, according to Fox News.
During Durham’s years-long investigation, he indicted three people: former Clinton attorney Michael Sussmann in September of 2021, Igor Danchenko in November of 2021, and Kevin Clinesmith in August of 2020.
Sussmann and Danchenko were found not guilty, while Clinesmith pleaded guilty and served community service time.
