“The Impossible Dream”: A song befitting the American Freedom Tour’s first winter gala held at the historic Mar-a-Lago. Shortly after Donald Trump announced his bid for the 2024 presidential election, the music I performed there was befitting the historic occasion. The inspirational song from the Broadway show “Man of La Mancha” is timeless, with lyrics speaking to the nature of a resilient person who defies the odds. “To fight for the right without question or pause, to be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause.” These lyrics reflect Donald Trump, the unlikely politician. He has faced adversity at every turn, yet he persists in his quest for the country he loves. And let us hope that “the world will be better for this, that one man, scorned and covered with scars, still strove with his last ounce of courage.”
