Houston jury will not charge man who killed robber at Houston taqueria

A grand jury has decided not to file any charges against a man who shot and killed a robber in a southwest Houston taqueria last year.  

On Jan. 5, 2023, 30-year-old Eric Eugene Washington walked into El Ranchito taqueria on South Gessner Road right before 11:30 pm waving what appeared to be a gun at customers to give up their belongings.
