Justice Breyer says colleague Justice Thomas is doing ‘fine’ following hospitalization last week

On Wednesday, Justice Stephen Breyer said that he thinks Justice Clarence Thomas is doing “fine” after Thomas was admitted to the hospital last week with what was diagnosed as an infection.

Thomas was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC on Friday after experiencing “flu-like symptoms.”

Nearly a week later, with very little word from the Supreme Court in regards to Thomas’s current condition, a reporter caught up with Breyer, who is set to retire at the end of his term, to ask about his colleague.

“How is Clarence Thomas doing these days?” a reporter from TMZ asked as Breyer was walking towards Cafe Milano in Washington, DC.

“I think he’s fine,” he responded.
