LAPD investigation using body camera footage discredits Antifa activist's viral claims

The Los Angeles Police Department has determined that claims of unnecessary force and action brought forth by Antifa member and journalist Vishal Pratap Singh against LAPD officers were “unfounded” following a July 2021 incident.

“I just received a letter from LAPD Chief Michel Moore— who told me that he does not think there was any unnecessary force used when LAPD broken my camera hand with a baton while I was reporting at Wi Spa. LAPD continues their assault on journalist rights and press freedom,” Singh wrote on Twitter.

Singh included the letter from the LAPD, which stated that an in-depth investigation had been conducted into the claims.

“The Department completed the investigation into your complaint regarding the conduct of employees of the Los Angeles Police Department that was reported on November 11, 2021,” the letter begins.
