It’s been a week of high-profile swattings, and on Friday, legal scholar and chair of public interest law at George Washington University Jonathan Turley was swatted after police were alerted to a shooting at his home. This was a false report.

The Fairfax County, Virg. police said that someone had called 911 and reported a shooting at Turley’s home. Turley had recently spoken out against swatting in an interview with Fox Digital.
Turley has recently spoken out against the trend of states attempting to remove frontrunner and former president Donald Trump, saying that “in this age of rage we often make assumptions about people we don’t agree with,” noting that even Democrat officials “could resist temptation,” and have “a greater fealty to the Constitution.” He said he believes the Supreme Court will take up the case.
