MLB player Taylor Walls shows his support for DeSantis’s stance in favor of biologically female athletes

On Tuesday, Taylor Walls, a shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays, recently publicly supported Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his support for biologically female athletes who are now being forced to compete against biological males.

Christina Pushaw, DeSantis’s press secretary, commented on her Twitter account, “Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls comments yesterday, after media asked him why he tweeted that he agreed with @GovRonDeSantis stance on fairness in women’s sports:”

“In my opinion, I don’t think I did anything wrong,” mentioned Walls in an interview after his Wednesday game.

“I think I just gave my opinion. Some people may have taken that out of context. And I’m very sorry to them. I respect them. I don’t mean any disrespect to anybody at all.”
