“Many of Ms. Ruemmler’s contacts related to a potential representation involving the Gates Foundation, a representation of the Edmond de Rothschild bank, and other business opportunities,” a Goldman Sachs spokesperson told Fox News.
Ruemmler told Wall Street Journal that she “regrets knowing Jeffrey Epstein.”
When pressed about CIA Director William Burns’ involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kuperman Thorp told the publication that, “They had no relationship.” She explained that Burns met with Epstein when he was contemplating leaving the government spy agency.
“I was an unsuccessful fundraiser and actually the object of a little bit of sadism on his part in dangling philanthropic support,” Botstein told WSJ. “That was my relationship with him.”
“The reporting covered 2015-16 when what was known about Mr. Epstein was that he had been sentenced for a crime, served his sentence, which wiped the slate clean according to US law and norms,” Chomsky told Fox News.
“The gossip column chose not to publish the extensive information they have about far worse criminals who not only donate to MIT and other institutions but, far more serious of course, are greatly honored by them,” Chomsky added.
Other high-profile names that were revealed in the report include Harvard University professor Martin Nowak, Ariane de Rothschild, CEO of the Swiss private bank Edmond de Rothschild Group, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, anthropologist Helen Fisher, and Joshua Cooper Ramo, former Starbucks and FedEx board member.
