'Sloppy' Idaho killer left 'mess of evidence' after killing 4

Kristi and Steve Goncalves, the parents of 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves, one of four University of Idaho students murdered early in the morning on November 13, say the police told them there was so much evidence left at the crime scene it’s taking longer than usual to process while authorities say Thanksgiving is also slowing the investigation. 

Speaking to Lawrence Jones on Fox News on Saturday, Steve Goncalves said, “They’re telling us that there’s so much evidence that it’s going to take a lot of time to process it all. This wasn’t like a pinpoint crime. This person was sloppy.” 

“There’s a mess there,” the father added, “And they’re gonna have to go through that point by point and that’s going to take a lot of time. That’s why they reached out to other facilities to help them with that lab work.”

The family said the killer left a “chaotic crime scene.”

The police have not confirmed if there was any DNA evidence left on the scene by any suspect but a mobile DNA unit has been dispatched to the scene to expedite the process.
