A lawsuit filed against the UC system in 2019 resulted in the university dropping its standardized testing requirements for admission. This is supposedly to help minorities and low-income families who seem to be at a disadvantage.

But are we sacrificing educational merit in the name of diversity?

My guest is Ward Connerly, former University of California regent. He explains why California schools are dropping the SATs and how it could impact the quality of professionals trained at these universities.
