Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy said that President Joe Biden called him to “clear the air” after the President called him a “stupid son of a bit*h” during a press brief on Monday.

“Within about an hour of that exchange he called my cell phone and said, ‘It’s nothing personal, pal,'” Doocy told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday.

“We went back-and-forth and we were talking about moving forward and I made sure to tell him that I’m always going to try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking and he said, ‘You’ve got to,'” Doocy explained.

“That’s a quote from the President so I’ll keep doing it,” the Fox News correspondent said.

Although Doocy explained that Biden didn’t technically apologize, he said that they had a nice call and he appreciated the fact that Biden took the time to reach out to him when “the world is on the brink of World War III.”
